The ABC's

Last night I got on my friend Lynn's blog and she did the ABC'S of Gratitude. I get so many ideas from her. She is awesome! I loved it. It is hard to sit down and really think about what we are grateful for. I did the ABC's of things I love and and things I am grateful for!


A- Atonement: For so many years I thought the atonement was for every one but me. I guess that is one good thing about old age…. As I have gotten older, and went through the healing process, I KNOW it is for me also!!!!


B- Brothers: I have one older brother and one younger brother. I love them both every much. I have learned so many life lessons from them. I love the unconditional love I receive from them.

C- Cabin: I love our little cabin. It was a house that was built in the 80’s and we have remolded it to be a cabin. I love to go up there and stay in my jammies and scrapbook and read and do all those things I don’t have time to do at home.

D- Dog: Jaxon- I have the cutest Yorkie EVER! He is 4 ½ pounds, and LOVES me. He always has to be near me and loves to sleep next to me. He loves to chase the birds and squirrels at our new home.

E- Eternal Marriage: I am grateful for the temple. I love knowing that if we live the way we should, we can be together forever. I look at my family and I KNOW that we are sealed together forever! That is the most important thing in my life. They are my everything. I love to have a “game plan” in my life. Where I came from, what I am doing here, and where I am going.



F- Friends: We have always been blessed with great married friends. We love to hang out with the Rockwoods. It is so fun to go snowmobiling and hang out at the cabin. I don’t have a sister, so I have been blessed with great life long friends. I cherish them!!!! I have to have them in my life…..for they are my SISTERS!

G- Gospel: I am grateful to have a Prophet to lead and guide me. Times are so scary and I know I can just listen to him and feel peace. I love the Book of Mormon and know it is true. I know the Savior Atoned for our sins. I am grateful to live in a time that the restored gospel is on the earth. I am also grateful to have the priesthood in my home.


H- Home: I LOVE my new river home. I love being there. I love hanging out with my family and friends. I love my scrapbook room, my getaway from life. I love my kitchen. The perfect kitchen. It is my heaven on earth!

I- In-Laws. I have the best In-laws ever. My mother in law loves me like her own. She always has. She is so good to us. She calls us and then asks about each one of us. She has suffered many years with arthritis and never complains. She is amazing. There has never been a time that I didn’t wonder if my father in-law loved me. He has always been so good to me. My little family has learned more from him that he will ever know. He is a great man.

J- Jerry: (Jerry thinks I am going to put Jaxon) I have the best husband ever. He is not only my husband but my Bishop. He is quiet, but funny. He is a hard worker, but fun. We have been married almost 28 years. Wow! I have the 3 greatest gifts from him in the whole wide world. Nicole, Stacy and Ryan

K- Kindness: I hate contention!!!! I am so lucky to have kind people in my life. When the Lott Family or Pasley Family get together, we just have so much fun. We don’t fight or bicker. I love that. I have the kindest friends ever. I know I can call any of them at any time!

L- Love: I have been blessed with a loving heart. I have so MANY people in my life that I love. And the best thing is that they LOVE me. I have never doubled Jerry’s love for me. EVER!

M- Mommy’s: I have had so many wonderful Moms in my life. I have been blessed to call so many “Mom.” My own Mom, my Mom in law, Mom Dye, Mom McGary, Mom Southwick, and so many others. I also love having my kid’s friends call me Mom. And I look forward to my kids having children. They will be wonderful “MOMS”


N-Nicole: She is our oldest. She is a very gifted artist. She is quiet, but the stuff that comes out of her mouth is hilarious! She makes us laugh every time she talks. She is such a good example to her brother and sister. She loves to scrapbook, watch TV with her family and go on bike rides. She teaches the 4 year olds in Primary. She is a pharmacy Tech. Lesson I have learned from her: Be happy with yourself. She doesn’t need anyone in her life to make her happy. She is content with herself. She loves to read, draw and just hang our. I love her with all my heart.

O- Office supplies and equipment; I am addicted to computers, printers, staplers, markers, paper clips and EVERY office item. I love to buy them, organize them and use them. I am on the computer a lot. I have a lap top that I can take anywhere. I LOVE cameras and photography. I really like all digital stuff! They don’t call me Fugi Judy for nothing.

P- Parents: I would not be who I am without them. I know they love me no matter what. They love my kids (I think more than they love me) They are so good to them. They love each other so much. It is such a good example to us and our kids. In November they will celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Congratulations! Q- Quiet Time: I hate that my kids have grown up, but I do like the quiet time. I have been able to read more, including the Book of Mormon. I like to set by myself and think. This is big for me. I have always HAD to have people around. I still love that but do appreciate quiet time.

R- Ryan: He is amazing. When he was in first grade, his teacher told me that he would go around the playground and find kids that didn’t have friends. He has always been so big hearted. He is a great ballroom dancer. I love to watch him dance. He is very talented in music. He has a recording studio, and makes beats on his computer. He has written songs and records others singing. Lesson I have learned from him: Don’t gossip. He finds the good in everyone and loves them unconditionally. He has been a little missionary his whole life. (I also love his girlfriend, Sydni- like my own daughter. She is great) I love him with all my heart.

S- Stacy: My little missionary! She is so amazing. She LOVES the gospel and smuggled her testimony in from the pre-existence. She is my angel. She has always been able to tell is something was wrong. She has always been such a big help to me. She is an organizer and gets so much done. She loves to play the piano and loves music. She is going to be a school teacher and loves kids. She is a peacemaker. She has such a calming influence about her. She loves to scrapbook and faithfully writes in her journal. She loves Texas and Texas loves her. She speaks Spanish and works as a Spanish Translator. Lesson I have learned from her: The Church is true. She has been such an example to me and makes me want to be the best I can be. She knows who she is and why she is here and won’t let anything change that. I love her with all my heart.

T- Travel: I was raised on a farm. We had a simple life. My parents always felt the importance of family vacations. We went camping, to Disney Land, Mt. Rushmore, Canada and many others. When I got married I never dreamed of the places I would go. We have gone on fun vacations with our kids, and Jerry and I have been able to travel a lot for his work. Each January we go to a different location for a dealer conference. It is 2 weeks and all paid for. We have been to some awesome places and next year is Cancun.

U- Universe and United States: I love this beautiful world and all that it is. I mostly love Bonneville and Fremont counties…that is where my homes are. I love to look at the stars and night and as a kid I would sleep outside and try to comprehend that it goes on forever. I am grateful for the USA! We are blessed to have our freedom. I love the 4th of July. It is one of my favorite holidays. Parades, picnics, and fireworks!

V- Vehicles: I have the cutest GMC Acadia ever. I love that I can get all 7 of us in it. (Us, Sydni and Ryan N) I hate the gas prices, but I love being able to get where I need to go and never have to worry


W- Ward, Winter and Wild and Crazy Times: I LOVE to laugh and I laugh a lot I really like to just set around as a family and talk, tease and laugh. I love winter. I love snowmobiling, hot chocolate, warm fires, fuzzy blankets, and hot soup. I love to stay indoors in really bad weather and I love a good blizzard, if I don’t have to drive in it. I love to get wild on my snowmobile and we have such a good time. We are in the Sage Creek Ward and it is the best WARD ever! I have met some of the greatest people in my ward. I love them!

X-Rays: Every year Jerry goes in to get X-Rays to make sure the cancer isn’t back. I am grateful for technology that helps keep him healthy!

Y- Yara Donda: She is our Brazilian daughter. She was an exchange student in 1995-96. We love her. She was destined to be our daughter

Z- Zzzzzzz’s: I love to sleep. I love to go to be early. I love to take naps
