We just celebrated Ryan's 20th Birthday. On Saturday I woke up with the worst case of hives I have had in 12 years. They were on my face, neck, in my hair, arms, legs, ect.....It looks like a mean cat got to my arms. Cat scratches everywhere that I have dug and scratched. We went on a snowmobile ride with Rockwoods, and I was thinking "You have a son that can give you a blessing" When we got home from the cabin, we had tacos and Brownies, ice cream and chocolate sauce. Yum. When Ryan came I asked him if he would give me a blessing and he said he would. He laid his hands on my head and gave me the sweetest blessing and told me that they would go away. I sat there and thought " This is the same little boy that they told me was a girl for nine months." It was such a joy when they placed him in my arms and I held 7 lbs 15 oz of "Priesthood Holder"
No one could ever give me all the riches in the world and have it compare to that moment. It was more precious than gold. It was the best moment in a Mom's life to have her son worthy of that. He is such an amazing guy. He has a heart of gold and so much empathy in his heart. It was one of those moments in my life that I will never forget. So.....I guess I am so grateful for these puffy welts that are taking over my body, because it it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have experienced this "Special Moment!" "Let 'er Itch!"

you make me smile. i hope your itching decreases soon.
Oh what a wonderful feeling that must of been. I guess that would take some getting use to.....having your baby old enough to give a blessing. That REALLY got me thinking. I guess I would soon have the same opportunity. Sooner than I thought anyway...until you mentioned it. So cool! What a WONDERFUL relationship you have with all your kids. Hope your hives go away soon! They sound SO painful! My heart goes out to you.
oh...now i'm in tears. thank you for reminding me in these years of busy hands and a messy house, that someday too soon they will be big and hopefully worthy to hold the priesthood too. hope you feel better soon!
This is such a wonderful post. I am so glad you had to opportunity for Ryan to do that. Its such an amazing experience. I hope your hives go away!!!
You have such a way of spinning things into the positive! Thank you for reminding me that with these 2 boys that are so messy, and fight, will someday be priesthood holders who can bless others, and their families!
I hope you get feeling better!
Isn't it wonderful when you have a pay day? Hope you will start getting some relief. We have a Dr here who specializes in treating allergies with natural means. He is a regular Dr. I've been to him and he did wonders for me.
Luv U 4 Ever,
Sandy
You are definitely a great mom! Only a mom would be greatful for hives!
