My Firefighter!

On January 25, Ryan starts in the EMT program. He wants to be a firefighter. I loves people and wants to help them. I am so proud of him. He and Syd started a marriage in the roughest of economy's. They are trudging along, making it work. They both start school this month. I am so stinkin proud of the two of them! :}
You can follow Ryan's journey at the link below!

How fun! My son is going to carry out the family tradition and become a firefighter too! My father-in-law and brother-in-law were firefighters too. Kelvin tried several times to get on, passed everything, but you gotta know someone on the board or be a minority. Kelvin didn't know anyone on his board, his brother had someone who knew his dad. Lucky dog. And later in order to get a promotion, he finally (after many times of being passed over) put down his Indian heritage and got the next promotion. Go figure...
I love that your son is going to be a firefighter. It's such an awesome thing!!

Cool! My best friend growing up (Allan Norton....I'm sure you remember me mentioning him) is a fire fighter. It too was his whole dream growing up.. He loves it.
